I help you get back in the flow of life mind, body and spirit

My life has been fluid like water. Bruce Lee said, "If nothing within you stays rigid, outward things will disclose themselves. That is how I have lived my life. I come from an international upbringing. I was born in Europe, lived in South America and North America and I speak five languages. I am an inventor and an entrepreneur. I have been a fashion designer for the first 25 years of my professional life, and discovered my hands are my gift. They create to perfection what my mind thinks and my heart feels.

I graduated massage school in 2004 in NY, and began to build my private practice immediately after. I became certified in Manual Lymphatic Drainage, Trigger Point Therapy, Amma, Myofascial Release, Reiki and more. The K3D came as a result of combining all the various modalities. In 2006, I began to develop a brand new technique by exploring side lying massages, and applying all my knowledge and to help clients suffering from chronic pain. This specialized therapy has proven to be quite effective and therapeutic. The release and relief experienced after this treatment is incomparable as a combination of modalities all in one and the results of this treatment have been astounding.

I train other massage therapists how to provide K3D to their clients and host workshops four times a year. Bringing flow to your body is important for overall health. A lot of illness and inflammation stems from toxic build up.

I teach the importance of clearing the lymphatic system and the use of breath to help release and connect with the flow of life. I also host a Raising Consciousness Lecture Series for those who want to expand their awareness with mind, body and spirt.

BEFORE

AFTER

Shows results after 10 sessions that the arm reduced in size 5.25 inches.

We did a study by measuring in four locations and after 10 sessions the arm circumference decreased a total of 1.25”per location (upper arm, fore arm, wrist, hand) each lost an average of 1.23” a total of 5.25.”

The total arm felt a lot looser or deflated and pliable. It has also improved the overall flexibility of the arm and lessened the discomfort to almost nil. It is amazing to experience how I can fell the lymph moving with the breathing that I have to do during treatment as well as I experience congestion going down my throat as Shelly does her magic.

After 10 sessions we parted for travel and resumed after one month. All I did was wear the sleeve and exercise including swimming, and when we resumed the treatments we discovered then measurements maintained overall with some areas increasing slightly.

Thank you for listening.

Barbara.

Testimonials

I am a 12 year Inflammatory Breast Cancer survivor. IBC is a rare and very aggressive disease and is usually treated more aggressively than most other types of breast cancer.  It is called “inflammatory” because the breast often looks swollen and red or “inflamed."  IBC progresses rapidly, often in a matter of weeks or months and is either stage III or IV at diagnosis, depending on whether cancer cells have spread only to nearby lymph nodes or to other tissues as well.

It tends to be diagnosed at younger ages (median age of 57 years – mine was at age 55, compared with a median age of 62 years for other types of breast cancer.

IBC is treated first with systemic chemotherapy to help shrink the tumor (I had six treatments of four different drugs each treatment, every three weeks for six months, then a mastectomy with lymph node removal, six more months of chemotherapy and then 36 radiation treatments.

I have been receiving lymphedema therapy for 10 of those years, at least two sessions of 10-15 consecutive treatments per year.  I also wear a compression sleeve. In the past I have had manual lymphatic drainage massage followed by wrapping, which was worn from 21-22 hour per day for 10-15 consecutive days.

These treatments immediately decreased the size of the arm but the fullness of the arm remained same and the  flexibility  remained impaired. Despite wearing a sleeve and using a Flexitouch machine an hour per day, the arm would fill back up with lymphedema so the therapy would be needed again in approximately 6 months.

I have had the best results with Shelly Kalef and her K3D technique. This technique has reduced the size of my arm to a little more than half of what it used to be.

Before & After

"Shelly Kalef’s K3D Therapy has changed my life ! I have suffered from shoulder pain as the result of an automobile accident 15 years ago. I have tried many different modalities seeking relief. After my first K3D treatment from Shelly I experienced increased range of motion and my golf swing improved considerably. Subsequent K3D treatments have made me pain free. This stuff really works!

Thank you Shelly for giving me my life back and the best golf I ever played."
